                                       peeta mellark (districto 12, baker's son in the book and in love with Katniss Everdeen)

is one of the main characters in the trilogy of books The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins writer. The series consists of the novels The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay, and is told from the point of view of Katniss Everdeen. Peeta and his family live in District 12, which is responsible for coal mining, the poorest and least populated district in the fictional country of Panem. It is played by actor Josh Hutcherson in the film which premiered in March 2012, his role in the film was accepted on April 3 by Lionsgate, however was publicly confirmed on April 4, 2011.
